How teachers were celebrated
The year of Zoom Classrooms has waned. But with 2021 coming with new variants, how could Walmart bring optimism back to the back-to-school season? How could they celebrate the teachers who influence and inspire the new generation?
It took trying something new. A multi-city, hybrid event that brought three artists back to school to meet their old teachers. Chance the Rapper, Kane Brown, and Imagine Dragons, all gave back to the very same communities that they grew up in. Each performed a concert at their hometown alongside a livestream that also featured interviews and giveback moments.
Walmart would also give out free school supplies and money toward the school, creating an undeniably successful event for renewing excitement for the coming school year.
